Terms, Conditions & Reservation Requirements
IMPORTANT: The terms, conditions and limitation of liability under which the tour operate are detailed hereunder and the payment of the security deposit or tour price represents acceptance by the purchaser at the following:
- The tour in this website is organised and/or operated by Robert Lee-Steere (E.A.) Ltd. (hereinafter called the Company').
- The Company reserves the right to alter or change the accommodation, carriers or coaches at any time for any reason. The Company reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary and/or tour without notice as may be found necessary for any reason whatsoever including, but not limited to, road, weather or traffic conditions, non-performance of suppliers, industrial action, politic instability, operational conditions and requirements. All additional expenses incurred as a result of any delays, cancellations or alterations will be sole responsibility of the passenger.
- A minimum number of bookings are required to operate a tour. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, the Company reserves the right to cancel a scheduled departure. The decision to operate the tour is made 60 days prior to the scheduled tour departure date, however in some instances, this decision may not be available until 30 days prior to the departure date.
- Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date, or a portion is cancelled during the tour or the tour has an alternative itinerary applied, we shall endeavour to offer the nearest possible alternative tour but shall not be liable for non-performance of suppliers.
- Any special passenger requirements must be notified to the company at the time of booking. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of the Company, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers. The Company will not be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour for any such reason.
- The Company can give no guarantee as to the exact arrival and departure times for carriers and operators used by the Company in the tour. The Company will not be liable for failure to make connections with any other services and/or missed tour inclusions.
- The Company reserves the right to cancel bookings or to refuse to carry any passenger where payments have not been received by the Company within the times specified in the tour brochure. It is a condition of carriage that a passenger has paid all tour monies prior to the departure of the tour.
- In the event of industrial action affecting tour related transportation, the Company will make every effort to contact the client and advise alternative arrangements.
- The Company reserves the right to vary the price advertised or printed to cover any significant increase, fuel price, Government taxes and charges, or other tour related tariffs and costs. Passengers are reminded that this is a condition of travel.
- Where the Company does not operate the tour, attractions and/or optional tours (hereinafter called the Tour Inclusion') which may be included in the itinerary or
associated with the tour, the Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury occasioned by any person or property as a result of any such Tour Inclusion undertaken during the tour whatsoever or howsoever the same may be caused whether as a result of negligence or otherwise. These tour inclusions may include activities such as trekking, climbing, exploring, swimming, snorkelling and ballooning. The passenger unreservedly accepts that these activities involve varying degrees of risk.
- Baggage is entirely at owner's risk' during the tour and we strongly recommend private travel insurance to be taken out. Passengers are cautioned against leaving articles on board carriers or the tour coach at any time.
- Due to Government regulations and company policy, smoking is not permitted inside tourist coaches, however, frequent stops provide opportunity for those who desire to smoke.
- Travel agents can forward deposits and other payments on your behalf, but are not the Company's agent for the purpose of receipt of monies. Receipt of deposit and/or payment by the travel agent does not constitute receipt by the Company and the Company is not liable in respect of any monies paid to your travel agent until such monies are received by the Company.
- The Company will not be bound by any representation reported to have been made on their behalf unless the representation is confirmed by the Company.
- Whilst the Company will take reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour, the Company accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment whatsoever and howsoever experienced by the passenger.
- The land carriers (hereinafter called Carrier') used in association with the tour is not responsible for statements in this brochure relating to the tour, or any of its features and the Company indemnifies the Carriers against any claim, action, loss or damage which may be made against the misdescription or misleading information
- Land Content Only' does not include transfers to departure/return points nor additional accommodation (pre or post tour). Passengers electing to take Land Content Only or who require an altered itinerary, are required to arrange their own transfers at the commencement and completion of tour.
Tour Price and Duration: All prices in this brochure are quoted in United States Dollars and include tour preparation, operation and marketing costs. All prices in this brochure are current at time of printing but are subject to change without notice. The number of days duration stated in each itinerary includes day of departure and day of return.
Included in your fare: All coach travel, and game drives, accommodation, sightseeing, admissions, porterage, services of our Tour Director, local guide driver, transfers and meals (as indicated in the itinerary).
SECURITY DEPOSIT
Security deposit payable within 7 days of booking to ensure a place on the tour is held for the passenger. Any security deposits paid will automatically be credited towards the tour price at the time of final payment, unless otherwise requested. Please note: Bookings will be automatically cancelled if deposit is not received by Robert Lee-Steere (E.A.) Ltd. within 14 days of booking. |
PAYMENT OF TOUR PRICE
The total tour price must be paid no longer than 40 days prior to departure to confirm bookings. It is the sole responsibility of passengers to pay the tour price by the due date. |
Cancellation Fees: Cancellations must be made in writing and such notice is not effective until received by the Company. Day of notice commence from the day notice is received (during office hours not being week-end or public holiday) by the Company.

NOTE: Less than one (1) day There is no refund where cancellation is received on the day of departure or for the unused portion of the tour.
Travel Insurance: We strongly advise passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise (including, but not limited to; cancellation fees, loss of luggage, early return personal tragedy unrelated to the tour.
PLEASE NOTE: When travelling to Kenya you need to take a small soft bag to pack down into. Suitcases are unable to be taken with you whilst travelling in the safari vehicles. Suitcases will be stored in Nairobi whilst touring and delivered back when you check-in at the Nairobi hotel.
Vaccinations: Vaccination(s) are required for this tour. Please see your doctor for details.
Travel Documents: You must have a valid passport for at least 6 months after intended stay. Australian and New Zealand passport holders require a visa for Kenya. Passport holders of other nationalities must check with their travel agent to obtain necessary visas before leaving home. Passport expiry period and any other required travel documents remain the responsibility of the client. Robert Lee-Steere (E.A.) Ltd. will not be held responsible for individual travel documents not meeting the entry or travel requirements of Kenya. Please consult your travel agent to ensure proper documentation requirements are met.

Please note: Bookings will be automatically cancelled if deposit is not received by Robert Lee-Steere (E.A.) Ltd. within 14 days of booking. |
